This is a flexible role, work part time or casual, develop a schedule that suits you and your availability. One day per week, one week per month, you decide.
Mulungu is open to negotiating a package with the suitable candidate including renumeration and hours of work.
The Consulting Paediatrician is responsible for providing safe and effective paediatric specialist services as a member of the Health Services Department at Mulungu through the provision of excellent clinical care. This position is also responsible for providing leadership to junior medical and other clinical staff and supporting the organisations clinical governance programs.
About you
- Hold a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) within the Paediatrics Division and have current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- Appropriate clinical experience and training in General Paediatrics.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Experience working as a Paediatrician within a cross-cultural environment. Previous experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and /or communities is desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
